Nature Abounds Initiatives

Watch the Wild, the newest opportunity of Nature Abounds engages volunteers in observing and reporting on wild weather, wildlife and wildflowers  in their communities. By monitoring, we hope to discover how our eco-systems are changing in response to climate change.

IceWatch USA, modeled after and in partnership with Ice Watch Canada, engages volunteers across the United States in recording ice and snow sightings as well as wildlife activity near local waterways.

Nature Force Network (coming soon!)Nature Abounds works with environmental groups across the country to further their efforts and connect them to like-minded volunteers and other environmental groups working towards the same goals.

Future Initiatives

Energy Efficiency Education/Going Green
Through Nature Abounds "Going Green Corps
" program,  local citizens are trained to teach others in the community how to "Go Green" with aspects from saving water to changing light bulbs, proper disposal of hazardous household chemicals, planting native plants, and so on.

Keepers of the Forest
Nature Abounds
educates citizens within the national and state forest areas about the forest, including flora and fauna identification, forest health and forest preservation.

Wildlife Mapping/Biodiversity Study
Nature Abounds
is creating opportunities for citizen scientists to be involved in their local environment.

Natural Resource and Brownfields Management
Nature Abounds promotes responsible natural resource and wildlife management. Additionally, we support the re-use and clean-up of abandoned factories and other brownfield entities, which helps protect our natural resources and wildlife.
