Although BP seems to not be paying workers anymore to clean up the tarballs coming ashore, they're still coming in. Biloxi, MS city workers can be seen here cleaning them up on September 16, 2010. In talking with a couple of the workers, the barrier islands off the coast had significant damage from the spill and there's a lot of clean-up going there. Even though the damage isn't quite as bad here on the beach, the workers plan to be cleaning-up here for a long time. Video taken by Nature Abounds.

This video clip shows just how close the off-shore drilling platforms are to this naturally beautiful island just off the coast of Alabama. Not only do the rigs hinder taking great vacation photos, but they also pose a significant danger to the island residents and wildlife. Video taken by Nature Abounds.

If you want to know how the folks in the affected oil spill area are feeling, these photos pretty much sum it up. Grand Isle, is at the heart of the spill with thousands of wildlife killed and their livelihoods affected for decades to come. This video was taken Saturday, September 18, 2010 by Nature Abounds.

This video shows workers throwing tarballs washing onto the shore in Grand Isle on 9-18-10. As you can see, they're coming in so rapidly, that they can't keep up with what's washing in they could have an army doing just this task for months to come. It's CRIMINAL that BP is claiming that the clean-up is done.

This video was taken on 9-18-10 on Grand Isle, LA where most of the beaches remain closed. In this video, you'll see what seems to be a sort-of command center for this part of the clean-up. You'll also see a lot of piles of something -sand and/or tar - can't really tell from this distance. Anyway, needless to say... there's not that many people working on the mess that they've got. According to locals, the clean-up crew had been making a lot more progress when they'd been using the equipment, and not just letting it sit around.

On September 17, 2010, Nature Abounds President Melinda Hughes-Wert watched as workers cleaned the oil on rocks, one rock at a time, off the Gulfport beaches along the jetties. They had a boat that would move them from one ten feet section of rock to the next ten feet section. Interesting to observe!
